Narcissa Vela Malfoy (nee Black)

The last day of school before Christmas holidays is December 18th. For those of you who are staying over the break, you need to sign up with your heads of house before this Friday so we can make arrangements.

I had a student today that caught a first year's hair on fire... on purpose. And this isn't the first time something like this has happened with him. He's one of our best Quidditch players so of course the Head of the House is begging me to let him stay on the team, but I warned him last time.. if something like this happens again he'll be off the team.

I suppose in short there is an opening for a Ravenclaw Chaser.

I have to admit that I am quite proud to be the headmistress of Hogwarts. It had been decades since a woman sat in this office and I am honored to be able to do so. School is wonderful and while sometimes the children can be a bit challenging I would have it no other way. I am also thankful to have such a wonderful and able staff to work with. Without them, none of us would be here.

Have you heard from your father at all? The last time we spoke he was speaking as though he wanted to retire completely in order to preserve the family, but I don't see how that could possibly be the case.

I am ever-so humble at my new appointment. It has been many years since Hogwarts has seen a headmistress, and I will strive to be everything that our children need.

With his death I've begun to question everything again. Who do I think I am going against our Lord? It is stupid. He will surely know the second he steps foot back on British soil. He will know I have not been truly looking for him. If I am to continue this way I have to learn to protect myself. I need help, or I need to forget about our son.

I've searched the entirety of this forsaken country and there is no trace of Him. This is where he always spoke of. He seemed to think that there were restorative properties in the water here, but no one has seen hide nor hair of him. I'm nearly ready to call it quits and go home, but with Bellatrix here it may be challenging. She will not want to give up so easily.

Draco, I heard about the dragonpox outbreak. You are alright, aren't you? I don't think I could suffer another lose to that disease

Tomorrow is Draco's birthday. I'm going to miss it and for what? A man Lord I no longer desire to serve. I do not know if my son will ever be able to forgive me for this, but I do believe I may be able to get away long enough to make a visit to Hogwarts. I need to go back there to sign paperwork as well, so it's a day well spent.

My only hope is that He is gone and I can go back to loving my son.
